History
B.S. in Computer Science and German from Iowa State UniversityM.S. in Management from Cardinal Stritch University
I have worked in data management roles from developer to modeler to DBA, to planner and manager in several markets including Healthcare, Transportation (air, rail and surface), Manufacturing and Defense. In addition, I have worked in insurance (claims and sales), teaching and intelligence gathering and analysis.
I have been a group leader for Marriage Enrichment, Inc. and have extensive training in small group facilitation.
What I Offer
- Interpreter and Facilitation Services: I speak programmer, DBA, modeler, CIO and manager as well as several business dialects.
- Problem identification and analysis: In many, if not most, cases effort is being wasted on tangential issues.
- Mentorship and Relationship Coaching: Nearly all of our problems resolve to people. We can't begin to apply technology until the people are aligned.
- Talks, Presentations, Tutorials
- Perspective: Personal experience and a firm belief that any problem will yield to the right perspective. McGyver is the model.
My Approach
We have what we need. Who else shares my problem (recruit allies). Identify the opposition (no enemies--just opponents who only need a different perspective). Understand the opposition perspective. Find examples to convey a new perspective. Teach, teach, teach. The best information for the best decision.
