What We Do
We offer (for your organization)
- Physical exams
- Diagnostic testing
- Fitness programs
- Counseling
Your organization has a physiology much like the human body. It has major systems analogous to the nervous, circulatory, musculoskeletal, and respiratory systems of the body. Each of these is dependent on the others and data, in some form, is the common factor. The organizational systems are composed of processes .Processes, without data, are like tops that go on spinning until their energy is consumed.
The continued good health of your organization depends on its ability to produce, move and store good, useful data.
We will take you through a diagnostic process in which, much like your physician, we will listen to your chief complaint(s), then we will conduct an interview to elicit additional information. We will learn about any special circumstances surrounding your discomfort. We'll learn what has been tried and what you are currently doing. We'll ask about the symptoms you have observed. At this time, we will identify one or more areas on which to focus.
We will then conduct some diagnostic tests on your organizational body. This will involve talking with key people and conducting an audit of processes and data. We will develop an inventory showing how key healthcare activities are handled within your corporate body. During this time we will be watching for additional signs and symptoms.
Finally, we will report our findings together with recommendations for treatment. At your discretion we will oversee the treatment until its effectiveness can be determined. As part of the oversight process, we will offer mentoring to those involved.
Mentoring
We recognize, as you do, that your staff as well as your processes and products must benefit from a consulting engagement. Unless your staff is brought along on this journey, any changes or improvements that are made will begin to erode as soon as the consultant leaves.
It is also true that your staff will have much greater levels of buy-in if they are creating the results themselves. In nearly every case, your staff already has the motivation and the inside knowledge of your organization needed to create the definitions, relationships, processes and governance required. What they lack is the experience to recognize just how much they can do and how best to sequence initiatives for maximum effect.
The "pro" knows that installing the sink before the plumbing is done may have cosmetic advantages but will result in the need for much greater effort later on (rework). We will help you
- identify the resources you already have
- identify the missing skills, experience and attitudes
- define and prioritize initiatives
- inventory tools and functions
- assist in selecting new tools and provide mentoring on tool usage
The best information for the best decision.
